The potions of modern RPGs heal you, or cure you, or give you buffs without consequence. As for older RPGs, for example Ultima, there exists a green potion which poisons you if taken by accident, which is awesome. Who doesn’t want to get poisoned just for fun? No, really, it adds to realism and immersion, as does the blue potion, which sends a person into sweet slumber for whatever reason.
Back to consequence, Fallout has chems that increase certain attributes, such as “Mentats” which increase mental function, or “Buffout” which act as highly advanced steroids. Obviously, these drugs are addictive and take a while to detox, during which you loose some stats.
In conclusion, if you want to play an addict, play Fallout.

The Launch
Today we launch, so open a bottle of Korbel Champagne (Extra Dry) or another drink of your choice, and celebrate. Or not, whatever. Anyway, what will transpire here from now on is uncertain, but you can read the about section for, hopefully, more detailed information.
